CNC Programmer/Machinist

Immediate day-shift position open for CNC Programmer/Machinist with the following experience:

  • 5 years minimum MasterCam programming for CNC mills (also lathes a plus)
  • 5 years minimum CNC milling machining experience
  • Able to Design fixtures and work holding details
  • Able to set up, prove out and run first piece/first article parts
  • Experience working with castings a plus

Mold Injection

MOLD INJECTION/ METALCASTING MANUFACTURER

Job Summary:  Operate wax injection machinery to create wax patterns

Major Responsibilities:

  • Operate wax injection presses to produce wax patterns
  • Inspect finished wax patterns
  • Cluster wax patterns on trees
  • Prepare clusters for attachment to ceramic mold manufacturing robot
  • Maintain toolboxes
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Understand  and implement PLEX ERP system
  • Understand and implement applicable quality control procedures
  • Initiate corrective action and improvements

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Clear communication (oral and written) skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision

Metalworking/melter – caster

Metalworker/ Melter- Caster

Job Summary:  Operate Induction melting and electric resistance melting units to melt and pour molten metal into ceramic molds in the manufacture of investment castings.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Charge Ferrous and non-ferrous raw metals into the furnaces and monitor melting of metal to temperatures of 1000 to 3000 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Calculate and make alloy additions to achieve specified chemical analysis
  • Perform degassing/deoxidizing/slagging procedures to “clean” metal prior to pouring
  • Maintain furnaces and crucibles including daily patches, repairs, and replacement
  • Maintain traceability and record pouring temperatures using PLEX software
  • Prepare the pouring ladles for daily use
  • Pour metal into ladles
  • Assist with cleaning/maintaining furnaces ladles
  • Examine molds to ensure they are clean, smooth and properly coated
  • Load ceramic molds into furnaces prior to casting operation
  • Pour metal into molds and collect samples of alloys for testing
  • Signal others to coordinate work activities
  • Wear personal protective equipment including gloves, leggings, hard hat, face shield, aluminized coat, safety glasses and metatarsal guarded steel toed boots
  • Move products, materials, or equipment between work areas
  • Operate forklifts or other loaders 

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work in a hot environment; understand and follow written and or verbal instructions; regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs; follow all safety policies and procedures, and work in a team environment.
  • Basic computer knowledge ( i.e. data entry) and fluency in basic math
  • High School Diploma/GED or demonstrated equivalent experience preferred

Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift

Production Supervisor/Metalcasting Manufacturer – 2nd Shift

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Plant Supervisor, lead and direct all production workers in all manufacturing departments including wax injection, mold production, foundry, metal finishing, and shipping. Achieve daily/weekly production goals while maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with company certifications and quality policies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily, weekly and monthly departmental production, labor hours and dollar goals
  • Order materials to ensure smooth production flow
  • Understand and implement AS9100 and NADCAP quality systems and procedures
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Maintain employee status records in PLEX ERP system
  • Conduct regular employee reviews

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous management experience in metalcasting manufacturing preferred
  • 3 years of college education including management training preferred
  • Good communication and people skills
  • High energy, self-motivated and ability to organize and prioritize many items on a daily basis

MAINTENANCE /METALCASTING MANUFACTURER

Job Summary

Responsible for machinery and equipment maintenance in the manufacturing facilities

Primary Duties

  • Perform regular preventative maintenance
  • Perform emergency repairs as needed
  • Install new equipment and set up to meet production requirements
  • Monitor supplies of maintenance related materials and spare parts
  • Supervise outside contractors

Job Summary – Dewax Oven Operator

Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, operates a flash- fire oven used to burn wax out of a ceramic mold to prepare it for metal casting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operate burnout oven
  • Prepare ceramic molds for casting operation
  • Track work in process using Plex ERP system ( Online manufacturing software)

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, works in the metalworking/finishing and metalcasting departments.

Primary Duties

  • Operate metal finishing machinery including blasting, belting, deburring and straightening in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D Quality systems and procedures.
  • Assist in the casting department
  • Follow all safety precautions, including wearing safety attire
  • Track work in process using Plex ERP system

Mold Prod./Metalcasting Foundry

Job Summary

Operate 3 and 6 axis robots to produce ceramic molds for the pouring of investment castings. Documents and maintains records in PLEX ERP system.

Major Responsibilities and Authority:

  • Input work instructions for individual jobs on 3 axis and 6 axis dipping robots
  • Add materials for mixing ceramic slurry maintaining accurate specifications and chemistry
  • Regulate humidity and temperature levels to ensure consistency
  • Hand dip wax components into slurry and sand mixtures
  • Remove sand/excess from ceramic molds

Minimum Requirements:

  • 18 years of age
  • Reliable transportation
  • High School Diploma preferred
  • Computer skills
  • Clear communication (oral and written) skills
