Barron Industries extends reach in Europe

Oxford, MI –  Barron Industries is taking part in the Farnborough International Airshow Trade Mission sponsored by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Barron, an Oakland County-based manufacturer of precision machined investment castings, is a first-time exhibitor at the biennial airshow southwest of London, England starting Monday, July 16.

Barron Industries will be part of the Michigan Booth at the USA Partnership Pavilion which includes more than 300 U.S organizations. President/CEO Bruce Barron will meet with supply chain executives at global aerospace companies in an effort to expand the company’s continued growth into the aerospace market.

“In response to market demand for safety-critical components, Barron recently expanded its production capacity for lightweight, thin wall aluminum and stainless steel castings, said Barron. “With more than 3,000 aerospace companies operating in the U.K., Farnborough gives us the opportunity to promote our capabilities and experience in the industry.”

Barron Industries is a unique full-service manufacturer of both ferrous and non-ferrous machined investment castings for aerospace, defense, oil and gas, automotive and other commercial industries.  AS9100D Certified and NADCAP accredited for non-destructive testing, Barron produces critical aluminum precision components used in aircraft and defense technologies in both domestic and foreign markets including: the forward canard section for a 2,000 pound jet launched ordinance; fuel and HVAC systems on the Boeing 767 and Apache helicopter; and the GE9X high-bypass turbofan aircraft engine being developed by GE Aviation for the Boeing 777X.

“Our NADCAP Certified Non-Destructive Testing lab allows us to perform all testing, inspection, and certification in-house resulting in significantly reduced costs and lead times,” said Barron.  “We also offer in-house CNC machining, assembly, and rapid prototyping, allowing us to deliver a high-quality precision investment casting.”

Recently, Barron Industries won an Investment Casting Institute award for an aerospace component the company converted from a fabrication made of five separate machined parts that were bolted and welded together. “We converted it into a one-piece investment casting which reduced cost by more than 30 percent, and cut manufacturing lead times in half,” said Barron .
