Frequently Asked CNC Machining Questions

What is the typical turnaround time for CNC machining?

Although timing varies with each project, typical turnaround is usually 2-3 weeks. Since most projects include precision investment casting, we can use the same math data to create the cutter path program for CNC machining while the parts are being cast. Ultimately, this saves time and expense for our clients.

What tolerances can you hold in CNC machining?

Tolerances in machining directly correlate to the quality of the CNC machines. Barron Industries owns over a dozen CNC horizontal and vertical milling and turning work stations, each equipped with an industry top-of-the-line Makino, Mazak or Mori seiki machine. In addition, our full complement of tools, two Blanchard grinders and experienced skilled tradesmen are prepared to complete any CNC machining job to your most exacting standards.

How do you test the final product for defects?

Quality control is of utmost importance to Barron Industries and our valued clients. We can complete the following forms of product defect testing in-house with Level-III certified personnel: non-destructive, physical properties, Level II x-ray, chemical and structural analysis. All testing results in a formal printed certification report.
